Concrete Ships (#34175142)

WW II concrete cargo ships were built due to the shortage of steel during the war. After the war they were placed along the shores of Chesepeake Bay as a barrier from waves and today serve as a heavily used fish habitat and bird nesting sanctuary. Kiptopeke State Park, Virginia.
