Jeffrey's Shooting Star (#44253433)

Jeffrey's Shooting Star is a spectacular wildflower related to the primrose family, needs moist areas such as boggy meadows or streams in spring, and puts on a show of color in July in the high country of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Here a meadow is covered with them along the trail to Navaho Pass in the Cascades eastern slope. Teanaway Mountains, Washington.
