A coyote pauses on some dead downed trees in a fresh forest fire area, searching for easy to spot prey in the now open terrain. Thousands of new lodgepole pine trees can be seen coming up replacing the burnt forest along the Marcus Trail in the Kettle Range. Kettle Mountain Range, Washington.
