Sandhill Crane in field (#75924263)

A lone Sandhill Crane wanders slowly through a grassy hay field during an early spring migration stop in the Snoqualmie Valley. This was a very rare bird sighting as they are very rarely seen on the ground west of the Cascades. Records showed at the time (2005) this being only the 8th documented sighting of one on the ground in King County. Snoqualmie Valley, Washington.
