Pika on alert (#14297847)

Pika usually go unseen until you hear their loud shrill call to warn of your presence. They live in talus areas of the mountains storing grasses (i.e. "hay") all summer to feed off of all winter under the snow in their rocky habitat. They don't hibernate as you might think otherwise and they are a close relative to the hare/rabbit family.
