Yellow-bellied marmot (#72322445)

Yellow-bellied marmots live in a wide variety of conditions west of the Great Plains. Their dens are burrowed deep beneath boulders to help keep out predators. This one rests by the scat pile just outside its burrow near Palouse Canyon, Washington.
